Pues sí, otro, pero con una diferencia: no confunde con datos innecesarios y relata lo ocurrido en aquellos tres años de locura homicida sin catequizar sobre quiénes eran los buenos y quiénes los malos. No es una novela, porque todo lo que cuenta ocurrió (incluso las menudas historias que espantan o que mueven a risa), pero se oye como una novela y pretende instruir deleitando. Por eso está escrita en el tono que ya usó el autor en su Historia de España contada para escépticos.

The War Comes Home is structured around the different experiences of US veterans of the Iraq war. Sections of the book are dedicated to the difficulties of reintegrating to civilian life after coming home, living with disability, unemployment, dealing with the military bureaucracy, suicide, and homelessness - as well as more upbeat sections about families, communities and fellow veterans pulling together to help each other.

Author Dirk Eldredge demonstates how the drug war has led only to overcrowded courts and prisons, rising crime, official corruption, eroded civil rights and race relations, and new public-health crises. He makes the case for an alternative strategy: tightly controlled legalization accompanied by expanded drug education, prevention, research, and treatment programs.
