This is the third installment of Leadership Thoughts. Each volume is filled with thoughts that will encourage and teach leaders. They are designed to be used for personal growth, as well as for mentoring other leaders. These are time-saving ideas when looking for inspiration at staff meetings. During my 30-year career in the military, I read many books on leadership and human potential, but none of them really stirred my thinking like the book The Heart of a Leader by Ken Blanchard. That’s why, when I became an author, I knew I wanted to put together a book like his, a book that could help other people like his book had helped me. I really hope the quotes in this book and my thoughts on them will help you grow as a leader, but perhaps more importantly, I hope they inspire you to develop higher level thoughts of your own.
