For the last 50 years, I have been intrigued by the concept of wisdom. As a young boy I remember reading these words of Solomon about wisdom, "She is more precious than jewels and nothing you desire compares with her." (Proverbs 3:15) The fact that nothing in this life compares with wisdom grabbed my attention; therefore, I have been on a lifelong search to understand and to acquire it. Wisdom enables us to distinguish between those ideas in life that are true and those that are false.

We could all learn a thing or two about living in balance from our friends in the plant and animal kingdom. Take, for example, the jellyfish, one of the most energy-efficient animals in the world, moving through the ocean by contracting and relaxing, with frequent breaks in between.
