Science Stories For Kids

A troop of Boy Scouts, camped by a Civil War battlefield, discover a rusty knife. Late at night, the ghost of a Confederate soldier limps toward them and they flee. They discover that the knife was the one the soldier used to kill a former Union soldier.

With their dog, twin sisters snoop around an abandoned farmhouse that had been the scene of a woman's murder months earlier. Her missing husband is the main suspect. The girls sneak inside and the dog freaks and runs off to the barn. They follow and see a glowing ball with a hideous face float out of the barn and hover near a tree. Authorities dig around the tree and find the husband's body.

While two kids are fishing in a narrow ravine, a strange boy in wet clothes warns them of danger. They ignore him, but he persists. Suddenly a flash flood sweeps the boy away and the other two kids barely escape. They run for help only to learn that the boy who warned them had died two years earlier in a flash flood.

While baby-sitting for an infant, a girl is awakened by a strange elderly woman who says the baby is choking. The girl rushes into the nursery and pulls out a necklace and locket. The woman disappears. The girl opens the locket and sees a picture of the woman.
