Alfred Lichtenstein was born on the 23rd August 1889, in Berlin-Wilmersdorf, the son of a Jewish manufacturer. He grew up in Berlin before studying law at Erlangen in Bavaria. A writer in the Expressionist style his poems and stories are short but beautifully honed works. His tragically curtailed life allowed only a small part of his talents to rest with us. Undoubtedly a full life would have given the world a very gifted literary force.

Enmeshed within these poems are violent and purposeful contradictions of hate and love, exuberance and apprehension, of wrangling and conflict. “A Clash to Analyze” reveals the disorder and confusion in the current political scene, and “Good as Advertised” propels the listener to a oneness of betterment in order to help oneself, as well as assisting others!

A Life In Rhyme - Life's Observations is the fourth book in a collection of rhyming story poems I've written over a period of years. None of them were initially written for book publication, but I have received such encouragement from friends and family about them, I've decided to compile the verses into four different titles. Book 4 introduces you to story poems I've written about events in my life and random observations, together with some of the rhyming verse included in the other books I've written.
