Religious Healing

This sermon, given by Mary Baker Eddy, is based on Jesus’ statement: “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (The Gospel of Mark, chapter 16).

Sarah Thebarge, a Yale-trained physician assistant, nearly died of breast cancer at age 27, but that did not end her deeply felt spiritual calling to medical missions in Africa. I’m also a Reiki healer and have experimented a lot with vital forces and different healing methods. In looking at all the books available on this topic I saw a lot focusing on the spiritual aspects and some focused on chakra usage or Reiki healing. What I didn’t see was an overview and history of the whole topic to help people understand how spiritual and energy healing developed and how it fits into the science and medicine of today. There is also a need to see how spiritual and energy healing integrates with other medicines to improve a person’s long term health.

A helpful guide to Reiki healing.

In this book, I will walk you through a few of my traumas (childhood trauma, abandonment, a murder case, trying to find a job with a record, rape, family trauma), what they made me feel like and what things I was displaying during each trauma. Maybe you can identify yourself in my actions/feelings, even if you can't identify yourself in the exact trauma I went through. I will also tell you what tools I used to get to where I am now, on the other side of the trauma, in a healed space.
