Real Life Crime

With a population of 500 souls, isolated Sark has a reputation for being 'the island where nothing ever happens'. Until, one day, the neatly folded clothes of an unknown man and woman are discovered abandoned at a coastal beauty spot. As the search for the missing couple catches the attention of first the local and then national newspapers, Sark finds itself front page news. When young islander Phyllis Carey returns to Sark from England she throws herself into solving the mystery.

This is the first story in a series of ongoing adventures of Real Life Superhero, The Foil. Set in the urban neighborhood of Garden Park, this gritty crime story is not a graphic novel or comic book. In LITTLE RED CORVETTE, The Foil finds himself on the wrong side of the Irish ‘Moffat’ gang when he protects two young teens from a beating by local mobster, Charlie Gibbons. Gibbons enlists the help of his old friend Tom Bock, who has just returned to Garden Park after 15 years in exile to frame The Foil in a drug deal.

A look back at two serial killers who blamed their dabblings in the occult for their behavior. Suzan Carson was a self-described "vegetarian Moslem warrior" who wanted to kill individuals she claimed were "witches". Marlene Olive was a teenage drug addicted into glam rock and witchcraft. She then turned to prostitution and was called a "whore" by her mother. Seeking vengeance, she employed the aid of a boyfriend to kill her parents.
