Marguerite Duras aimait la radio, lieu privilégié qui fait se rejoindre la parole et le silence. En écoutant les archives de l'INA, il n'est plus possible d'en douter. Parler de façon directe lui plaisait, comme de dialoguer au moment de la sortie d'un livre, d'un film ou d'une pièce de théâtre. Elle profitait aussi de la radio pour exercer son humour, son goût de l'absurde et du rire.
