Did you know that over 600 million people live on less than $2 a day? Nearly 10 percent of the global population struggles to survive 24 hours at a time. Eradicating extreme poverty may seem simple, but it's very complex.

In the recent years, people have studied the unusual increase in the number of prime-aged men who are unemployed. According to Nicholas Eberstadt, a political economist who holds the Henry Wendt Chair in Political Economy at the American Enterprise Institute, the drop of the share of prime-aged men in the labor market in other prosperous democracies has never been as severe as it is in the United States.

As a care-leaver who has experienced homelessness, award-winning investigative journalist Daniel Lavelle has spent his life navigating social services that are not fit for purpose and leave many vulnerable people slipping through the cracks. Existem Estados pelo mundo que cobram altos impostos e oferecem muitos serviços à população. Nosso Estado é de um terceiro tipo, mais próximo a um sádico obeso que rouba os que estão embaixo para dar aos grupinhos de cima, encastelados no poder.
