Political Animals

Manor Farm has reinvented itself as the South of England's premium petting zoo. Now, instead of a working farm, humans and beasts alike are invited (for a small fee) to come and stroke, fondle, and take rides on the farm's inhabitants. But life is not a bed of roses for the animals, in spite of what their leaders may want them to believe. Elections are rigged, the community is beset by factions, and sacred mottos are being constantly updated. The Farm is descending into chaos. What's more, a mysterious ‘illness' has started ripping through the animals, killing them one by one.

At the dawn of a killer colonial winter, starving and desperate to live, a brave band of animals escape the tyranny of their human masters. Led by a visionary stallion, they brave miles of wilderness and a treacherous river crossing to start a homeland of their own - Animal Colony. There, they find freedom and prosperity...for a while. But a strange new belief system invades Animal Colony. The humble beasts must then learn to tell truth from enticing lie, or risk losing everything for which they've fought and bled.

Tired of suffering abuse, the animals on Jones's farm decide to rebel against their masters. After driving out the owner, they establish a new order based on equality. However, a new class of bureaucrats soon emerges among them—the pigs—who, with cunning, greed, and arrogance, impose themselves on the rest of the animals.

"Animal Farm", a fairy story, is a short novel by George Orwell. It describes a farm where animals revolt, take over and drive out men. It is an apologue written in the form of an animal fable, but also a dystopia. In this novel, Orwell offers a satire of the Russian Revolution and a critique of the Soviet regime, particularly Stalinism, and beyond that, authoritarian regimes and totalitarianism. The book was named one of the 100 best English-language novels written from 1923 to 2005 by Time magazine.

Mr. Jones, of the Manor Farm is an irresponsible, careless farmer who enjoys the alcohol a little too much and whose animals suffer from his neglect. One day they are fed up and, following the ideals of animalism, they drive the humans, who live at the expense of the hard working animals, off the farm. At last, animals can build a free and just society in which the fruits of their labor belong entirely to them and in which everyone is equal.
