These are the early letters, poems, ideas, thoughts of a writer in the very beginning. Figuring out life, attempting to make sense of the people around, and the environment which surrounds. There are love poems, ideas, thoughts, attempts at rhyming. Clearly the very start of a career, for a young twenty something who eventually turned into a serious writer. One can be inspired to start writing, from seeing the very early attempts for a person to be understood, while figuring the world out. Journal writing at its finest, but this is no Dear Diary. Many innocent feelings and a lot of emotion....

A Letter Concerning Toleration by John Locke was originally published in Latin in 1689. It was Locke's response to the problem of religion and government; he proposed religious toleration as the answer. For Locke, the only way a church gains genuine converts is through persuasion, not violence. Arguing that the government should not involve itself in spiritual matters, he offers three main reasons.
