This book was not written to attack the modern practice of medicine. We thank God for modern medicine and all that it is doing to relieve pain. However, without the touch of God, medicine cannot heal. God is the Healer. Jesus is the Healer. He can work through modern medicine and He can work without medicine. He is not limited. He is God.

In our Christian faith, we're either drawing closer to God and to his purposes for our lives or drawing further away. Like an athlete in training, there can be no middle ground.

Overcomers are people who, constantly facing choices between satisfying God or satisfying self, choose to satisfy God. Those who continue as overcomers are those who make God their consistent choice. Is there any reward?” A disciple of Christ is a person who has, first of all, received the Lord Jesus Christ as his or her personal Savior and is therefore reconciled to God, and, secondly, has set his whole heart, mind, and all to seek him.

The Way of Loving the Lord is very different from many of the books in the Christian Way series. It is not an attempt to present the Bible’s position on some aspects of Christian truth. Rather, it is an expression of the yearning, longing - the spiritual emotions of my heart - after the Lord Jesus. I believe that there are some who yearn in an increasing way for the Lord, and in whose hearts the evidence of his soon coming awakens, with each passing day, greater desires to see him - the Hope of the Ages – face-to-face.

In the early Church, only disciples were known. Those who belonged to the Lord Jesus were called “Disciples”. Who is a disciple? The Lord Jesus intended that everyone who is led to him, and who therefore knows him personally and is dynamically related to him, should enroll in the school of a Disciple Maker who will make him into a Disciple, which means somebody committed not only to be like Christ, but also to bring others to be like Christ.

All the people who have made an impact on history varied in many things, but they all had one thing in common - they worked hard. It is only true that "the heights by which great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight but while their companions slept, they kept toiling upwards into the sky." The Lord has given us work to do. He desires it accomplished. If we are to accomplish that work, we must put all that we are and all that we have into it.

In this book we present the greatness of God as the father of all goodness, and show the pilgrim how to know him. We have thought over these messages for over 10 years. We send them out with prayer that they bring great blessings to God's people.

The messages in this audiobook, were given to brethren from all over Cameroon in Yaoundé at a critical point in the work. There was a real increase in numbers of those who were turning away from their sins and becoming new creatures in Christ. Many young people were beginning to receive ministry gifts and to minister in the churches. There was a need for a fresh look at the ministry and the ministers as revealed in the New Covenant.

The Lord has wrought something in my life between 1990 and today, largely in the area of deliverance from sin, deliverance from self, deliverance from the love of the world, deliverance from the love of the things of the world, being filled with the Holy Spirit, and the knowledge of the Lord. I now feel that I can write the book, though with fear and trembling, and not from a position of perfection, but from the position of one who has received unmerited grace to write it.

The thought of many is that when a person is saved, God forgives him and wipes away all the consequences of his past sins - that he is free. His freedom is so complete that he has no responsibility to rightly terminate with the past and to carry out restitution to those he wronged then. This audiobook clearly examines that way of thinking in the light of the Scriptures and sets out the biblical message for those who have overcome and those who want to overcome.

The messages in this book were given as the last of a series of meetings called leadership courses for the people of God in Cameroon. At the time of preparing the messages I felt that I owed it to the Lord and his people to say all that was on my heart in case it was not possible for the audience to hear me in the future. I thought I should say my last word to the Church. Here it is. I have borrowed extensively from the thoughts of Watchman Nee in writing the message “The Cross and Our Priorities.” I believe that the Cross is central in the life and ministry of the believer.

God can indeed be heard and met every day, and many times a day. He is waiting to be heard. He is anxious to talk to his children, to hear them and to answer them. He is not silent. You can encounter him today and he can encounter you, and you will never be the same.

God, as the Creator of man, has given every member of the human race a talent or talents with which to function in his universe. You have a talent! Every human being has a talent. Some human beings have many talents, but there is no human being without a talent.

There are other people whose sicknesses are deeper than the physical dimension. They are crippled by fear, bitterness, jealousy and the like. Psychologists are doing the best that they can to provide answers for these people. However, Jesus is God's answer to all of man's need of healing and health. He is the right answer for these people. He has provided in his death, resurrection, and enthronement, all that man needs for total healing at all levels.
