John Nelson Darby was an Anglo-Irish Bible teacher associated with the early years of the Plymouth Brethren. In 1867, he produced a literal English version of the New Testament. The books of the Bible were written at different times by different authors over a period of approximately 1,500 years from around 1400 BC through 90 AD.
