New Life Church

The object of this little book is to help those who are beginning the Christian life. It contains merely a few suggestions and counsels by an older brother who has gone a little farther on the way, who has experienced some of the difficulties and dangers and learned a little of the help Christ is ready to give to those who will accept it.

The first of a twelve-volume series of Christian discipleship lessons designed originally for the explosively-growing Church in Nigeria. The book covers eight lessons each on the new birth, sanctification and growth in grace. It is attractively illustrated, and written for adults in need of sound biblical teaching in an easy-to-follow format, with short questions at the end of each lesson. Author Gary Maxey is a forty-plus year veteran of missionary pastoring and seminary teaching both in Nigeria and Latin America.

My six decades on this earth have left me, thus far, yearning to share God's goodness to all. I wanted to leave the chapters of my youth with gratitude for all he has seen me through, with a declaration of love to the Lord for the truths he has revealed to my heart. I pray for a generation I may not live long enough to share them with, in hopes that my legacy continues to bring forth brave, loving, and God-fearing people, who continue to bring good fruit to a fallen world.
