Mystery Suspense Halloween

Sometimes we pass down tales from one generation to the next so that the memories of the past remain alive. The Halloween Warriors: Part Four tells the revenge of the forces of evil. After possessing the village and its residents drove them to destroy the museum where they were captives, they were incinerated by the flames, becoming organic matter and taking possession of nature.

In der Nacht auf Allerheiligen erschien ihm in einem Wirtshaus der Teufel persönlich und wollte seine Seele holen. Doch Jack verhandelte noch einen allerletzten Trunk. Da der Teufel kein Geld bei sich hatte, verwandelte er sich selbst in eine Münze, um den Trunk zu bezahlen. Jack steckte diese Münze schnell in seine Börse, in der sich ein silbernes, kleines Kreuz befand und sich der Teufel somit nicht zurück verwandeln konnte.

Es gab einen weiteren Toten zu beklagen. Den Lehrer Joseph Ross. Den Tatort fanden Holmes und Watson identisch wie tags zuvor bei Mrs. Hughes auf, mit der Ausnahme, das anstelle von fünf Kürbissen nur mehr vier um die Leiche drapiert wurden. Holmes befürchtete daraufhin, würde man dem Muster folgen, dass man in den nächsten Tagen noch mindestens mit drei weiteren Leichen rechnen musste. Es galt den Täter so schnell wie möglich zu finden. Doch ein Traum von Dr. Watson ließ alles in einem neuem Licht erscheinen.

Es war der 29. Oktober 1933, drei Tage vor Samhain, in der das Tor zur Anderswelt weit offen stand, und die Toten geehrt wurden und man sich gleichzeitig vor den bösen Geistern schützen musste, als Inspektor Wolfford bei Holmes und Watson in der Baker Street auftauchte und um Hilfe bat. Die Hebamme Mrs. Hughes wurde tot in ihrer Wohnung aufgefunden. Um die Leiche herum wurden fünf Kürbisse platziert, jeder davon mit einer Fratze versehen und hell erleuchtet. Gleich mehrere Ungereimtheiten stachen Holmes ins Auge und somit stellte der Fall auch den Meisterdetektiv und seinen Gehilfen vor ein Rätsel.

Holmes wusste nun, wer der Täter sein musste. Anhand von Inspektor Wolffords Befragungen konnte Holmes schnell einen Zusammenhang herstellen.

Holmes und Watson waren zwar jetzt im Besitz eines Zettels, der die Vornamen der nächsten beiden Opfer preisgab. Doch wie sollten sie Inspektor Wolfford erklären, woher sie die Liste hatten? Zumal der Erhalt dieser Liste jegliche Logik von vorne herein ausschloss. Außerdem stellte sich noch die Frage, wer hinter dem dritten und letzten Opfer stecken sollte, da dieses nur mit einem Fragezeichen versehen war. Als Holmes und Watson schließlich auf das dritte Opfer, den Pfarrer Blake Bancroft, stießen, beschlich Holmes eine böse Vermutung, wer sich hinter dem letzten Opfer verbergen konnte.

Die vierte Leiche führte Holmes und Watson in ein Krankenhaus. Die Krankenschwester Nancy Rogers wurde auf dieselbe Art und Weise getötet wie ihre Vorgänger. Um ihren Leichnam herum standen nun nur noch zwei Kürbisse. Am Abend danach hatte Watson wieder einen dieser furchteinflößenden Träume. Als er endlich wieder erwachte, konnte er Holmes ein Präsent vom Teufel persönlich überreichen. Und dieses Geschenk ließ nur auf einen einzigen Täter schließen.

“It is an auspicious night, don’t you think?" The spirit gestured out over the mist covered graveyard before them. “Tonight is All Hallows Eve,” he breathed, “Halloween!” Melvin’s eyes widened as he turned his gaze to follow the ghosts’ hand. Distant howling floated back toward them on the chill breeze. “Tonight phantoms rise up from this last plot of hallowed ground. They assume form and substance and walk amongst the living!" A shiver ran down Melvin’s spine.

Part 9 of the Halloween Warriors describes how the beings and the creatures of evil seized the industrialized cities again in a mysterious way, forcing the beings of goodness to travel to the sacred lands, to find solutions from the god of the divine cults. The god of the divine cults provides them with a powerful amulet that will free their territories from the beings of evil, bringing as consequences, the loss of William.

The Halloween Warriors part 6, 7, and 8 is a story divided into three parts that describes the descent of the malefic characters that appear in it. Origins (part 6) describes the history of Matilda and Gellfara from their birth when they were normal human beings and how they became evil beings.
