Las Meditaciones metafísicas es una obra escrita por René Descartes y publicada por primera vez en 1641, en latín, con el título Meditationes de prima philosophia, in qua Dei existentia et animæ immortalitas demonstrantur (una versión francesa, preparada por Louis Charles d'Albert de Luynes bajo la supervisión de Descartes, aparecerá en 1647 con el título de Méditations metaphysiques). En ella se elabora el sistema filosófico que había introducido en 1637, en la 4ª parte del Discurso del método.

Existen poderes humanos que, debido al misterio que los envuelven, han sido poco explorados por el hombre, quedando en el olvido o siendo aprovechados por un grupo muy selecto. La mente y sus múltiples manifestaciones son capaces de lograr cosas inimaginables.

While the original intention behind the group working instructions contained in Volume I was to externalise eventually through groups of nine integrated disciples, the work of nine subjectively organised groups (hence the name "Groups of Nine" given to this work), this second volume contains the teaching given between the years 1940 and 1949 after the group had been reduced and reorganised into one group, "the new seed group."

The Hierarchy of Heaven and Earth was originally published in a condensed form (condensed by Harding) in 1952 and described by C.S. Lewis as "a work of the highest genius". Russell's The Problems of Philosophy, first published in 1912, is both a primer for the philosophy-curious and the practicing philosopher. He introduces his readers to his thoughts on the difference between knowledge by acquaintance and knowledge by description, and asks the question: If we cannot be certain that external objects exist, how can we then have knowledge of them but by probability? There is no reason to doubt the existence of external objects simply because of sense data.
