彫物の名人・左甚五郎のエピソードが浪曲になり、落語に移植されました。

この落語のようなことが本当に出来れば、苦労は要らないでしょう。

東京落語『ちきり伊勢屋』の上方落語バージョンで、長編だけに、上下に分けて上演致します。

三重県津市に残る、親孝行の平治の悲しい物語を、桂文我が落語に纏めました。近鉄電車の特急停車駅の街に残る逸話を、落語に仕立て上げた中の一つです。

往来に店を出して、商品を売る商売は、「道を通る人に、声をかけるのが難しい」と言います。

日蓮宗（法華）の方がお聞きになったら、どのような感想を持たれるでしょうか？極めて上演されることの少ない落語ですが、とても面白い内容だと思います。

誠に不思議なネタで、寄席や落語会でも上演されることは稀ですが、ユニークで、江戸時代の風情満載だけに、十分楽しんでいただけるでしょう。

本作が録音された「かまくら落語会」は地域の落語会として四十五年前に始まった。 近年は盛況が続き、チケットの選別方法に抽選を導入して十三年になる。

A funny, tender and wise story about nearly 13-year-old Cedar B. Hartley - who loses her dog, finds a new friend, becomes an acrobat and learns some bitter sweet truths about family, community and herself. Cedar B. Hartley is not easily accepted by her peers. Her dog Stinky is her best mate. Things start to change when she meets a boy called Kite and finds they have a lot in common - both have single parents, both are loners with colourful inner lives, both like beanies, dogs and acrobats. Together they form a circus troupe which unifies the inner city community.

東京落語は『お化け長屋』という演題で、寄席や落語会で頻繁に上演されていますが、上方落語では滅多に演じられることはありません。

島原民話に原話があるとか、仏教説話が下敷きになっているとか、ネタの成り立ちについて、数多くの検証がなされた落語と言えましょう。

皮肉な内容の落語ですが、このネタのファンは意外に多く、年末年始の風情も満載。

戦前に刊行された落語の速記本に載っていたネタですが、内容を膨らませて、上演可能な怪談噺に仕上げました。

名工・左甚五郎の逸話は講談や浪曲で語り継がれる間に、エピソードも大袈裟になり、本人の実像から掛け離れてしまいましたが、それは名人談の常と言えましょう。

この落語ほど、奇想天外なネタは無いでしょう。ＳＦ・ミステリー・サスペンスを加えて、時代物で纏めた大作。

『上方見物』という演題で上演されることもあり、伸縮自在な落語と言えましょう。
