Many times, we are bombarded by situations that make it difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel…we become impeded by our struggles and confined to futile reactions. And so…these poems come from an authentic place…a space where one is able to make sense of those things that make no sense. These poems are moments of contemplation in a world of troubles and trauma…These poems are a process of embracing a change to avoid remaining the same.

Life Lyrics are insightful reflections that leave you with the sensation that Melody has reached into your heart, held your feelings in her hands, and then lets her pen tell your story, and often hers.

These are a collection of poems that I wrote as a teen, young adult, newlywed wife, and mom. I hope you enjoy them, and always welcome and appreciate feedback from my listeners.

Love, Life, & Situations is a collection of poems and thoughts that was written in the course of the life of a young lady finding her way through young adult adolescence. Only a few selections were chosen to share on this journey, but out of the selections, each one has a special meaning or reflection of an obstacle, lesson, or betrayal that she encountered.

A collection of poems that I wrote that will take you on an exploration of life, death, and mostly everything that exists in between, from an aging perspective starting with that of a seventh grader to now a 25-year-old.

Zindagi Ke Martbaan Se is a poetry collection written in conversational language – Hindi mixed with Urdu and English. Life Lessons in the Key of Life can be summarized by the following: It takes all kinds of people to make a world. The good, bad, and ugly consequences one goes through and deals with on a daily basis.

When twelve-year-old Estie is expelled from school, she's sent to stay with her aunt in Scotland over the summer. Even though Estie knows what she did was right. Even though nobody, not even her mum, asked to hear her side of the story. Estie's determined to keep her barriers up and stick to herself until the holidays are over. But when she comes across an intricately folded paper bird with a secret message written inside - a message from someone desperate to tell their own unbelieved story - a chord is struck, and Estie can't help but follow the clues to the next piece of artwork.

My poetry is at times raw, sensuous, and evocative, and guarantees a stirring of all senses. Some poems will melt your heart or arouse you; others will leave you with a myriad of acute emotions. Others will make you smile, even bring tears to your eyes. Some, I hope, will provide comfort in knowing you are not alone, even when life is not always kind. I see us all as clay on a potter's wheel. Life’s trials represent the reshaping of who we are, and that reshaping is never ending. My poetry reflects that truth as an expression of my experiences.

The title of my book is one of the poems entitled Life Is Too Short. I added "to Waste" to give the title a more significant meaning. People are getting killed every day at a very young age and a fair number of people were dying of natural causes, and I am sure they have not accomplished their goals when they were killed. I have many pieces in this book, and I hope each and every piece will be comfort and enjoyment to my listeners. This is my second poetry book.

Twelve-year-old David Snod's life is nothing but problems: He can't stop stuttering. He gets bullied constantly. His little sister, Sophia, acts like she's his protector. His teenage brother, Chris, torments him, calling him "Nose". Worst of all, David doesn't have enough money to buy the popular SkyJam basketball shoes.

As I journey through life, I continue to observe how we treat life and how life, in return, treats us. I see the evil that people do to fellow human beings and their cruelty to animals. Much as I try, I cannot shut my eyes and ears to what people do. Even when I try to ignore these things, the vital sensory organs that connect my brain to the world will not cease to send signals to my brain. As my brain processes all the information that my eyes and ears send, it engages my heart and causes it not to rest.

Poor jackdaw is about to fly into trouble - will he learn to read the animals' signs in time? The jackdaw wants all his friends to come to his party, but when he calls out his invitation, the animals just touch their heads. Why won't they answer? And what do their actions mean? Luckily a brown owl can help him with the puzzle!
