Long overshadowed by Japan and China, South Korea is a small country that happens to be one of the great national success stories of the postwar period. General Douglas MacArthur is one of the towering figures of World War II, and indeed of the 20th century, but his leadership of the second largest air force in the USAAF is often overlooked. Major Richard J. "Dick" Meadows is renowned in military circles as a key figure in the development of the U.S. Army Special Operations.
