A long time ago, when Japan had the feudal system, my family was a landlord of the area. It has come to a complete downfall over the years, but my family still clings to its past glory. For them, to succeed the family is critical. I’m firstborn and have no brother which meant that I was a successor and destined to spend the whole life in my hometown. But, music changed everything. To pursue a career in music, my hometown was too rural, and I had to move out. Back then, I was a college student, and moving to a city meant dropping out of school.

人間は堕落する。それを防ぐことはできないし、防ぐことによって人を救うことはできない。人間は生き、人間は堕ちる。そのこと以外の中に人間を救う便利な近道はない。戦争に負けたから堕ちるのではないのだ。人間だから堕ちるのであり、生きているから堕ちるだけだ。人は正しく堕ちる道を堕ちきることによって、自分自身を発見し、救わなければならない。 戦後発表され、絶大な支持を集めた安吾の「堕落論」 “堕ちることにより救われる”という安吾の思想は、 今の時代にこそ聴いておくべき書なのかもしれない! “堕落しろ”とは、まさに呪縛からの“解放”にほかならない!

半世紀以上も前に放たれた安吾からのメッセージ。 天皇制、武士道、戦争、政治…。 既存の道徳に向かい、安吾の視線は常に本質を見抜こうとする。 生々流転、無限なる人間の永遠の未来に対して、我々の一生などは露の命であるにすぎず、その我々が絶対不変の制度だの永遠の幸福を云々し未来に対して約束するなどチョコザイ千万なナンセンスにすぎない。我々の為しうることは、ただ、少しずつ良くなれということで、人間の堕落の限界も、実は案外、その程度でしか有り得ない。人は無限に堕ちきれるほど堅牢な精神にめぐまれていない。何物かカラクリにたよって落下をくいとめずにいられなくなるであろう。そのカラクリをつくり、そのカラクリをくずし、そして人間はすすむ。堕落は制度の母胎であり、そのせつない人間の実相を我々は先ず最もきびしく見つめることが必要なだけだ。 戦後日本の思想に多大な影響を与えた「続堕落論」をオーディオ化!
