"I metodi tradizionali con me non hanno funzionato. Sono uscita dal liceo dopo tredici anni di inglese con ancora tanto, troppo, da imparare. Il mio modo di comunicare era basico e meccanico, il che mi faceva sentire spesso a disagio. Sognavo di esprimermi liberamente, senza rinunciare a tutte le sfumature che una lingua possiede e stabilendo connessioni più profonde con le persone, ma non ci riuscivo. Mi ci è voluto del tempo per capire che dovevo lasciar perdere la traduzione letterale e iniziare a pensare in inglese.

I fatti descritti in questa storia sono raccapriccianti. Purtroppo sono realmente accaduti. Non ci sono parole per esprimere sdegno e vergogna, solo disgusto.
