Born into a wealthy family from New York, Franklin Delano Roosevelt entered political life as a member of the Democratic Party and rose to prominence quickly due to his strong leadership skills, money, and family connections. --During his first term as president of the United States, he introduced his “New Deal” domestic agenda to stem the tide of the growing national economic depression sweeping the country. -- He managed to win a wide base of popular support thanks to his policies aimed at helping the most vulnerable American citizens, from poor farmers to jobless urban professionals....

Ed Nebinger was inspired to write these memoirs by his realization of how greatly privileged he had been to be able to grow up in a wonderful part of America during the Great Depression. The Lehigh Valley is a beautiful, fertile area, surrounded by picturesque mountains, and populated by a talented and productive people of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. The years he spent growing up in the Pennsylvania steel town of Bethlehem before World War II proved to be pivotal ones in our country's history.

At the end of the story, she has a few "featurette" short stories, as well as an interview with her grandson Ryan, with some deep questions about the lessons of her life, a short story about her second husband Peter Street, written by his son Mike Street, birth to 44 and a half, July 1963. Finally, a bonus short story, to Peter’s life story, age 44 and a half to 73, as told by Madge Street.
