I live near a biscuit factory. Sounds like a dream come true, right? But it's not all fun and jammie dodgers. You see, the biscuit factory is really a Super-Secret Science Lab. Everyone pretends it makes biscuits. It just makes life easier. Until today. Because the biscuit factory tore a hole through dimensions, and now huge orange monsters are climbing through. Oh, and if we don't do something, the world is going to go kablooey in the next 30 minutes. Not on my watch. You coming?

This is a thrill-ride of an adventure story, stuffed with fun, friendship and a large number of malfunctioning robot pets. Boot was once a toy robot, but it has come a long way since it was scrapped and woke back up with only two-and-a-half glitchy memories. When Boot catches sight of a robot pet it used to know - Mr Piggles - our hero and pals follow it to a beautiful green square in the city of skyscrapers. Here they find not just real nature, but also a haven for broken and rejected pets.

Hubert Horatio is quite possibly the most responsible and clever child you will ever meet. This is the very fishy tale of how an ordinary day became the death-defying rescue of Hubert Horatio. And who did the rescuing? Why, Hubert, of course....

The stories are short enough to keep kids focused on the story and to not seem overwhelming.
