First Revolution

When a government talks about infringing on Second Amendment rights, citizens get angry. When they call upon the UN to enforce a firearms confiscation, citizens take action! A newly formed militia stands up against a foreign enemy to enforce their sworn oath to protect the constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic. Against a superior force equipped with the latest military technology, the militia fights and pushes forward, with the goal of returning their country to what it should be.

Five military officers wake up from stasis 200 years into their future to discover that the human race has been enslaved. They soon set out to free humanity from their alien oppressors, finding danger and resistance at every turn.

George Washington was an American soldier, statesman, and Founding Father who worked as the nation's first president from 1789 to 1797. Washington was called leader of the Continental Army by the Continental Congress, and he led the Patriot forces to triumph in the American Revolutionary War.

Fred is the sole offspring of Lenny Snyder, the famous (or notorious) pied piper of the counterculture, and in middle age he hates being reminded of it. But neither can he ignore any longer his psychedelically bizarre childhood. From infancy, for instance, he was called Freedom (in fact his given name) not only by those who should have known him but also by members of the burgeoning movement led by his father, who happily exploited having his wife and his toddling, then walking and talking, and finally observant son in tow.

Even as the young United States successfully secured its independence, the new nation was beset by problems. The drafters of the Articles of Confederation had deliberately avoided giving the national legislature the power to tax, because Parliament had so abused that authority against the colonies, but this proved to be a severe limitation on the national government.
