Essential Eating

Nutritional deficiencies have increased in frequency worldwide. Even the most industrialized countries in the world are seeing more cases of deficiency in vitamins, minerals, proteins, electrolytes and other essential elements in their populations. Some of these have reached near-epidemic proportions, even in the USA (i.e. Vitamin D Deficiency).

The coconut has been used for centuries throughout the tropics for food and medicine, among many other practical uses. In fact medicinally, it has also been used to treat everything from scabies (an infection caused by the human itch mite) to baldness, tumors, ulcers, colds, and dry skin, among other ailments.
