English Poetry Anthology

Many of us are familiar with the epic stories and legends of the classical world. This anthology, the only one of its kind on audiobook, gives an insight into a more lyrical and tender aspect of Greek and Roman literature. From Homer's lofty lines on the loves of the gods to the earthier verse of Catullus to his mistress Lesbia, this recording encompasses the major love poetry written between the 8th century B.C. and the 2nd century A.D.

A series of short stories interspersed with poems. Or, to put it another way, a collection of 28 poems and 22 short stories, alternating between the two, where possible. A small amount of the poems were originally published in the book ‘Evolution In Sand’ (2021) but all others are new to the published world.

I wrote these poems when someone said to me “Doreen, just be content it is not yet time for you to prosper”. Another person said to me “my Pastor said an elephant is pregnant for 18 months. So don’t’ rush to want to prosper”. I told the person, I’m not an elephant but a human being. I did not have any source of income, begging for accommodation, food and clothing.
