The nice thing about African mythology is that it is rooted in such ancient traditions. And although the west hasn’t fully embraced some of these interesting stories, they have been told by many and remembered by some, enough to write them down and discover what they are all about. Lester grew up on the banks of the Middle Fork of the Kentucky River in eastern Kentucky during the early 1900s. For his time, he was progressive who had the forethought to document the life and times as a mountaineer.
