Early World History

The Short History of Museums relates the story of the museum from the early, ancient museums up to the current, leading world museums. The Smithsonian and other museums in Washington DC are also included. The book also features a listing of state museum and historical societies in every state in the United States.

The first Thanksgiving at Plymouth in 1621 was a powerfully symbolic event and not merely the pageant of abundance that we still reenact today.
