They tell us that it creates jobs, corrects "market failures", and boosts economic growth. And they insist that we need such intervention to help the poor, to coddle the consumer, and to protect the worker. But they're dead wrong. Government intervention is not the solution to our economic problems; it's the cause.

The word leadership is subjective, and it brings a variety of images to everyone's mind when they hear it. For some people, it may signify a charismatic personality who is passionate about pursuing a cause. On the contrary, for other people, this word represents an executive who is dedicated to developing an effective strategy to beat the competition.

Sugar is found in virtually every food in the modern Western diet, and this is not by accident. There is a hugely powerful and destructive move afoot by the corporate food giants to increase sales by using science to increase consumption in both volume and frequency. Research shows this is best accomplished by producing sweet, desirable foods. But this reckless approach is killing thousands upon thousands of people each year and leading to never-before-seen levels of diseases such as diabetes.
