Nasrin and Sabrina are two sisters, who on the face of things live successful and enviable lives in London and New York. When their father, Shamsur, suddenly dies, they rush to be with their mother at the family home and restaurant in Wales, but reluctantly step back into the stifling world of their childhood. When Shamsur’s will is read, a devastating secret is revealed that challenges all that people thought and loved about him. It also profoundly changes the lives and identities of the sisters, and creates an irreparable family rift.

The story is told primarily through Andre's voice, but we also see things through the voices and points of view of his mother Ruby, a hard-working medical secretary, his older sister Nina, his mostly not-there-usually-drunk-and-high father Eddie, a halfhearted reggae musician, and Reggie and Smoke, the kingpins of competing drug crews.

Fae and dragons alike face their own problems, but can they work together, or will both races stand on their own? Once again, the dragons refuse to help the fae, leaving the two species separate to face the threats that are to come. When dragons begin to come down with a strange virus, Minx fears Kaleb will be next, so, she vows to find a way to ensure that her dragon is safe.

Along the path she will be faced with new and dangerous situations. She must now overcome the evil that stalks her and bring home her beloved.
