Church Saints

My thesis is simple: “If The Church Is True, Then Why Doesn't Sunday School End On Time?” Let me unpack that quote. First, this is not an anti-Mormon book, but “inside baseball” for faithful members. And who is my audience? Normal members: people like you. A note on spelling. I used the King James Version of the Bible, and I retain the archaic spelling.

In May of 2013, Max and Joyce Eliason entrusted their estate valued in excess of $250 million to the LDS law firm of Kirton McConkie located in Salt Lake City, Utah. They did so with the belief that their estate rich in oil properties was just as safe as the millions of dollars they had paid in tithes and offerings over the 59 years they were married. What has followed is the most criminal and heinous display of corruption which has led to Kirton McConkie and the leaders of the LDS Church unable to account for $1.00.

In the summer of 2019 I decided to leave the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This short work contains my journey out of the faith, and my current thoughts on religion and the LDS church in general. I don’t claim to be a great philosopher, or that I am breaking any new ground in these pages. Rather, I want others who have left the Mormon Church, or religion in general to know they are not alone. To see they are not the only ones who have dared leave a faith, even when everyone around them is still practicing. So dive in with me, and dare to leave your faith behind.
