"The Boy Who Drew Cats" is a Japanese folk tale collected by Lafcadio Hearn in Japanese Fairy Tales. This is his most anthologized story. It concerns a boy who drew cats everywhere. Everyone in the town thought this was a waste of time until a goblin invaded their temple. They boy, and his cat, then come to the rescue.

Als Blattsee in ihrer Verzweiflung schließlich eine Entscheidung trifft, ahnt sie nicht, dass sie damit das Leben ihres ganzen Clans auf Spiel setzt.

"Blut wird Blut vergießen und rot in den See fließen, erst dann kehrt Frieden ein." Eine schreckliche Schlacht gegen eine Meute von Dachsen hat den DonnerClan große Verluste gekostet. Und noch immer ist der Clan ohne Zweiten Anführer. Der junge Krieger Brombeerkralle ist wütend: Feuerstern muss endlich einen Stellvertreter ernennen - und er wäre genau der Richtige! In seinen Träumen wird Brombeerkralle von seinem Vater Tigerstern und seinem Halbbruder Habichtfrost heimgesucht, die seine Gedanken vergiften.
