Häherpfote, Distelpfote und Löwenpfote teilen das Wissen um ihre künftige Macht. Aber was bedeutet die Prophezeiung, was können sie tun? Während die Geschwister grübeln, entbrennen zwischen den Clans erbitterte Kämpfe um Territorien und Beute - die Zeichen stehen auf Krieg.

Die Schwestern Taubenflug und Efeusee werden endlich zu Kriegern ernannt. Gemeinsam mit Häherfeder und Löwenglut versuchen sie, die zunehmende Macht der finsteren Krieger einzudämmen. Während Löwenglut seinen Clan vor weiteren Angriffen schützen will, erhält Häherfeder einen verzweifelten Hilferuf vom Stamm des eilenden Wassers. Zusammen mit Taubenflug, Fuchssprung und Eichhornschweif macht er sich auf die Reise zu den Stammeskatzen, von denen er eine rätselhafte Warnung erhält.

Während der Wald in der Blattleere erstarrt, wenden sich Clan-Gefährten plötzlich voller Misstrauen gegeneinander. Die Geschwister sind verzweifelt: Kann sich die Prophezeiung von der Macht der drei überhaupt noch erfüllen oder ist dies das Ende ihres Clans?
