To our prehistoricancestors cats were deadly predators of the night, and because of this ancient memory etched onto our DNA, cats epitomize our fear of the dark. Yet in addition to their connection to the dark and the shadows, their intelligence, sophisticated physical abilities, and finely tuned senses also led many cultures to view cats as connected to the spirit world.

Kann Feuer den DonnerClan retten, wie es die alte Prophezeiung sagt? Oder wird es ihn vernichten? Feuerherz hat es geschafft! Der junge Krieger ist der neue Zweite Anführer des DonnerClans. Nicht alle Katzen trauen dem ehemaligen 'Hauskätzchen' diese Aufgabe zu. Doch dann trifft eine Katastrophe den DonnerClan und plötzlich geht es nur noch ums nackte Überleben. Wird es Feuerherz gelingen, seinen verstörten Clan in ein neues Leben zu führen?

"Tief in deinem Inneren weißt du, was richtig ist. Du musst deinem Herzen folgen." Unbekannte Territorien, ein neues Lager und viele aufregende Entdeckungen - die Katzen des DonnerClans sind vollkommen mit der Erkundung ihrer neuen Heimat beschäftigt. So merkt keine, wie die junge Heilerin Blattsee sich mehr und mehr in eine verhängnisvolle Liebe verstrickt. Als Heilerin ist es ihr nicht erlaubt, einen Gefährten zu haben. Als Blattsee in ihrer Verzweiflung schließlich eine Entscheidung trifft, ahnt sie nicht, dass sie damit das Leben ihres ganzen Clans auf Spiel setzt.

"Aus vieren werden zwei. Löwe und Tiger begegnen sich im Kampf und Blut wird den Wald regieren." Mit diesen Worten gibt der SternenClan Feuerherz ein dunkles Rätsel auf. Was bedeutet die Prophezeiung? Feuerherz befürchtet, dass Tigerstern dahintersteckt. Steht nun der finale Kampf gegen seinen größten Feind bevor? Zu spät merkt er, dass sich das Verhängnis von ganz anderer Seite eingeschlichen hat: Teuflische Gäste haben den Wald für sich entdeckt.

Endlich, nach langer Reise, haben die Katzen des Waldes einen Ort entdeckt, an dem sie bleiben könnten! Rund um den großen See gibt es genug Beute und Land für alle. Die Zeit des Abschieds für die große Reisegemeinschaft scheint gekommen. Jeder Clan muss nun wieder allein für sich selbst und das eigene Überleben kämpfen. Aber ist dies auch wirklich das Ziel ihrer Reise, die neue Heimat?
