La iglesia como Cuerpo de Cristo no es una formación ni una organización, sino una constitución: algo que ha sido constituido con el Cristo de vida como su elemento constitutivo. El Cuerpo de Cristo no sólo ha sido constituido con Cristo como su elemento, sino que también está siendo edificado por la transformación en vida. Esta transformación no es meramente un cambio externo, sino un cambio interno y metabólico, y es un proceso.
