Sense and Sensibility was written by Jane Austen and published in 1811. The novel follows the lives of the Dashwood sisters, Elinor and Marianne, as they navigate the complexities of love, society, and family in 19th-century England. The Ramsey family, with house guests, visit the Isle of Skye at least twice. The plot is not at all the point though, as this is a book about how people think and feel and relate.
