Apocalyptic Survival Fiction

It’s been eighteen years since the outbreak of “Infected” and the events from We’re Alive: A Story of Survival. Once an embattled “Colony” of survivors, the thriving stronghold of Westport celebrates the graduation of its latest class of Guardians, including Nicholas Tink. The son of the late great Saul Tink, Nick yearns to step beyond his father’s shadow and become a hero in his own right, a destroyer of the Infected.

This is the first of five Novellas in a near term Science Fiction Post-Apocalyptic series. Each book in the series tells the stories of a group of survivors that live through a Global Extermination Event. The characters in this book are clustered around the shores of a great Inland Sea above what used to be called the San Joaquin Valley in California. These stories were triggered by current events shortly after I published my first book, BB-39. I had planned to complete another long-delayed novel, but these stories could not be set aside. Distance is set in the same timeline as Deep Winter, Shatter, and Remnant, the first three books in the series, but is set in the Midwest, and follows the story timeline of the first three books, and provides a very different perspective as the storyline unfolds.
