Amish Thriller

Nevada is a determined journalist who is after her first Pulitzer Prize. When she learns about the disappearance of three different women outside Amish country she knows in her gut that something isn't exactly right in the quaint community. She has lost some of her faith throughout her own life, but when she meets a handsome carpenter, he makes her question the real reason fate has pushed them together.

Leah is raising her two children alone after losing her husband three years ago in an accident, and is in fear of losing their farm. Leah is being courted by widower Jonah, hoping that her feelings for him will grow. Leah longs to love again and struggles with continuing to court Jonah, although marrying him will provide security for her family. But when she finds a friend in neighbor Simon, she finds herself happy again, even though Simon's family tries to keep them apart.

Warning: Before you even consider listening to this, understand that this is a story about a guy that is large, feels he is in charge, and is ready to kick some butt. In truth, he is essentially deaf, almost blind, socially handicapped, and has little sense of smell to boot. Add to that his basic disregard for proper attire and you have one humorous, heartfelt, and, at times, moving story. Okay maybe not that heartfelt or moving, but it may all depend on how you look at things.

The Amish Way: A Father Never Known is the story of a young woman who is looking after her father, when he asks her to fetch a reclusive doctor. She does so, not knowing why he asked it of her. Later, she is asked to foster a child and grows to love the baby and in a while, she finds out who the stranger is and what he means to her and her growing family.

In the end some of the Amish boys, despite their faith telling them to not fight back, decided that they have had enough and try and stand up to them. The next thing the Amish know is that they are being questioned over the murder of one of the local boys...Will Karson be able to identify the killer before an innocent young man is possibly convicted.
