Jessica McLean opens shop to find a man has been left for dead on the floor of her diner. With very few clues left behind, Jessica becomes the prime suspect. But Amish twin sisters and amateur sleuths, Beth and Anna, wonder if the crime could be related to Jessica’s new relationship with their beloved Matthew Beiler. It soon becomes clear that things aren’t always as they seem. Will the sisters step in and solve the mystery, bringing justice to Little Valley yet again?

In the small town of Abbott Creek, mystery is as much a part of daily life as the sweet shop's pumpkin pies. Katie Chupp spends her days at the sweet shop...baking for the upcoming holidays and enjoying the changing seasons. Thanksgiving is approaching and the residents of Abbott Creek are preparing to give thanks for their blessings. But between fielding questions from every person in town who is desperate to find out where Mrs. Simpkins has gone, to finding extra help for the busy holiday season, Katie's blessings this year are being outweighed by her problems.

Warning: Before you even consider listening to this, understand that this is a story about a guy that is large, feels he is in charge, and is ready to kick some butt. In truth, he is essentially deaf, almost blind, socially handicapped, and has little sense of smell to boot. Add to that his basic disregard for proper attire and you have one humorous, heartfelt, and, at times, moving story. Okay maybe not that heartfelt or moving, but it may all depend on how you look at things.
