As the masters and special section begin to expose and disrupt the machinations of the Lyrans, Penelope must struggle with the dichotomy of God and thedevil, the harshness of war, and the myriad challenges of the nine universes. In the process, she discovers an ancient secret hidden beneath the streets of London itself. In order to prevail, she must first learn about the true nature of justice, master the tigress within, and ultimately, accept the terrible consequences of her actions.

Billy Jim Horton, a reporter for the Fort Worth Daily, hears a story about an old man in Paradise Texas that claims to be Billy the Kid. History has "the Kid" being shot and killed in 1881 by Sherriff Pat Garrett. The editor of the paper allows Billy Jim to use his forthcoming vacation to follow the story.

In 1903 Kenneth’s life was transformed. He could see our Auras. We can’t see anything different about him. But even he did not realise the full extent of the changes he had endured. Then he discovered the Lightning People. Although not immortal, they have lifespans vastly greater than ours. But amongst the Lightning People are Rouges who are selfish, cunning, and dangerous.

Tan and the Governor continue the struggle for Arizona, to secure the border to the south, and put an end to the greatest danger Arizona's people have faced. It's a wild ride, from the desert in the south to the beauty of the Red Rock country in the north, all to stop one man.

The time: the 1840s. The place: California during the gold rush. As the white settlers begin penetrating the remote mountain canyons, they discover an ancient race, the Tenanken, who date back at least 60,000 years. Some members retain the genetic memories of their distant past, while others project mystical visions of comfort and joy. All flee the coming of the white man, and appear to be doomed to extinction. Only the genius Pegre finds a possible solution: integrate and intermarry with their distant white "cousins", the Hinchai, and form a new entity.
