All I ever wanted was to be loved and accepted. That's all. Now I am strung out on heroin, more vulnerable than ever, and clinically depressed. My entire existence is controlled by heroin and the need to escape reality. My rationality is being dominated, paralyzed, and defeated by another entity.

Sabrina Pace-Humphreys is a 43-year-old mother of four and grandmother of two, an award-winning businesswoman, an ultrarunner, a social justice activist and a recovering alcoholic. She is a mixed-raced woman, the daughter of a white Scottish Roman Catholic woman and a Black Church of England man. The book presents a successful roadmap to overcome any addiction through faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It depicts some of the madness of my 25 year addiction to crack cocaine but more importantly takes the listener through the victory, healing and deliverance I received from God.

The second part of the book I could only write just recently, as I was, by the Grace of God, able to live the life I knew I always should. Please come with me through the very real and honest look at what it was like to be a young man in the 2010s and how through a million close calls, I finally found life.

At the age of 29 on January 20, I woke up, not from sleep, but mentally and crashed to earth with a bang realising I had a gambling problem. This book takes you through my journey.
