Everything is going great in the Milky Way Galaxy. Adam's immortal mutant alien daughter Lila is running the Expansion, and the Orion-Cygnus Union is experiencing its first period of peace and tranquility since its founding. After the defeat of the evil Antaere in the first REV series, Zac and his super warriors carry on, as the hammer used against a myriad of obstinate races. The Union of Affiliated Systems (Earth's new stellar empire) is determined to expand far beyond the Grid, using the REVs as the means of convincing reluctant species to join. After all, its for their own good. Membership in the UAS will benefit all. So what if a little blood has to be spilled in the meantime? Zac didn't want command of the REV force in the first place, and now he's put in an impossible situation.

To get it, they've kidnapped the super mutants, Panur and Lila. Little do they know, Panur is no longer immortal and he will surely die if Adam Cain and his friends can't find him and Adam's daughter, Lila, in time.

Having returned from the Andromeda Galaxy as heroes, the team soon learns that the remaining Nuoreans in the Milky Way aren't too thrilled with the fact that the Humans destroyed their homeworld of Nuor. Now they're going to make Adam and his friends pay for it. After placing an exorbitant bounty on the heads of each team member, nearly every creature in the galaxy becomes a hired killer. Although Adam's never been one to run from a fight, this may be too much for even him.

With the ancient Aris service module Kanan out of the picture - at least for a while - there's a lot for Marshal Adam Cain to tend to within the Dead Zone. If Adam thought things were wild and woolly before, wait until he sees what happens in the aftermath of Kanan. Politics, terrorists, assassins, thieves, and more...I could go on and on, but you get the picture. And now, as Adam slowly builds a secret force of super agents within the ranks of Enforcers, they begin to take on assignments usually reserved for, well, supermen. Fortunately, the shoe fits.

When Adam Cain's old bounty-hunting friends, Summer, Monty, and Tidus, show up searching for the most-wanted fugitive in the galaxy, their efforts are thwarted by another old friend, Copernicus Smith. The deep-cover spy has his own reason for finding the fugitive, and it's not to earn the million-credit bounty offered for his capture. The elusive alien absconded with billions of credits from his homeworld just before the Mad Aris Kracion irradiated the planet. And now it seems as though the entire galaxy is looking for him.

As an eclectic band of heroes set out to rescue Adam's kidnapped daughter, Lila, everyone is asking what do they do when they find her? She was abducted by the three-billion-year-old Aris, beings who possess technology and genius far beyond anything in the Milky Way today. How does one fight against such technology, against such genius? In the meantime, the galaxy is being overrun by the invaders from Andromeda whose brutal gladiator-like contests are just getting underway...and with the Humans their prime targets.

In the continuation of their last adventure, Adam and his team have returned from The Lost Universe with the evil and insane Aris being Kracion close on their tail. So when Dr. Ben Peterson is offered twenty million dollars to develop the so-called Body Fortress Drug—a cure for all disease—he was surprised as anyone when he actually did it! However, along the way, he also developed the opposite, a drug that leaves the body susceptible to ALL diseases . . . the perfect biological weapon.

Adam and his crew are faced with the ultimate challenge: to save the Milky Way Galaxy from the Nuorean invaders. This time their backup will be two-and-a-half MILLION light-years away. It's a no big deal mission which quickly devolves into the beginning of the greatest challenge for Adam and his team. Both Adam and Summer are going through strange and not so subtle changes; Adam from the mind meld he did with the super mutant Panur, and Summer from her contact with the Essence of J'nae.

All The Human had to do was turn over his latest bounty to the local authorities and collect his fee. But when it turns out that no one in the galaxy wants to take possession of the criminal, Adam is left with no choice but to transport him a quarter of the way across the galaxy, from the renegade planet Sinalus to Unidor Security's headquarters on Tactori. The problem . . . it seems everybody and their brother are trying to stop him from completing his mission, both the good guys and the bad guys. What do they know that The Human doesn't?
