Derrière la façade très académique de l'institut St Mary, les équipes d'historiens, de techniciens, de chercheurs ont découvert le secret du voyage dans le temps. Ici, on n'étudie pas seulement le passé, on le visite... "J'ai fait des choses stupides dans ma vie. J'ai souvent été imprudente et j'ai enfreint beaucoup de règles. Du XVIIe siècle à l'Égypte ancienne, de Pompéi à Southwark, ils se lancent sur la ligne du temps, jouant un jeu de cache-cache périlleux. Mais ils finissent par retourner à St Mary où de grands dangers les attendent.
