    May 21 2025

    Send us a text

Planning a day at Magic Kingdom doesn’t have to feel like a marathon—or a meltdown waiting to happen. In this episode, I’m sharing a full walkthrough of how to plan a realistic Disney day for every kind of traveler: families with little kids, multigenerational groups, couples looking for fun and food, and everything in between.

We’ll break down each of Magic Kingdom’s six lands (yes, all six!), and I’ll give you my best tips for deciding what to prioritize—whether that’s thrill rides, character meet-and-greets, or hidden gems that give your feet a break and your kids a magical moment.

    You’ll also learn:

    • How to schedule quick service meals with mobile ordering like a pro
    • When to book table service dining (and what’s actually worth it)
    • The smartest ways to budget your time so you’re not zig-zagging all over the park
    • How to build a plan that works for your group without burning out before fireworks
    • Why “less is more” is sometimes the key to a magical Disney day

If you're someone who wants to ride the rides, eat the snacks, meet the characters, and keep everyone in your group happy (without needing a nap by 2 p.m.), this one’s for you.

    Apr 10 2025

    Send us a text

We’re heading to Walt Disney World this summer for 10 full days of magic — and what started as just our family’s adventure has now turned into a full-on family reunion! Midway through the trip, we’ll be joined by my husband’s side of the family, adding NINE more people to the fun. We’re talking all four parks, both water parks, an unforgettable night at H2O Glow, and some good eats at The Boathouse at Disney Springs.

In this episode, I’m sharing how we’re planning for both halves of the trip, what it’s like coordinating a large group (for only part of the time), and how we’re making the most of summer at Disney — including poncho and Crocs weather, navigating those midday thunderstorms, and finding the sweet spot between rope drop and park close without melting in the Florida heat.

Plus, I’ll walk you through why this might be one of the quietest summers we’ve seen in a while (hello, Epic Universe 👋🏾), and how to take advantage of summer discounts and flexible planning during this season.

If you’re planning a summer Disney trip, this one’s packed with real talk, pro tips, and everything you need to know to survive — and THRIVE — at Walt Disney World in the summer heat.

In this episode, I’m taking you on a special journey through our upcoming resort-only stay at Walt Disney World, where we’re skipping the theme parks and embracing the magic of the resorts. We’ll be staying at the vibrant Art of Animation Resort and having the best time ever, just soaking up the relaxation by the pool and indulging in some fun resort activities. I’ll walk you through our plans to experience the magic of Disney without the park tickets, showing you that there’s so much to enjoy beyond the parks!

We’re kicking things off with a dinner at one of our favorite spots—Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village, where we’ll savor delicious African-inspired cuisine and take in the amazing savanna views. Afterward, we’ll head over to Fantasia Gardens for a round of mini-golf, enjoy the charm of Disney’s BoardWalk Resort with its nighttime entertainment, and maybe even stop by Cake Bake Shop for one of those massive, decadent slices of cake that are too good to resist.

I’m also diving into all the fun activities offered at Art of Animation Resort, including the monthly activities that make staying there so unique and special. I’ll share how my family and I plan to spend our time, creating memories without the need for a park ticket. From scavenger hunts to movie nights, there’s plenty to do at the resort itself.

But that’s not all! I’ll talk about some of the amazing character dining experiences you can enjoy at other resorts. Whether it’s the charming Topolino Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort, the fun Cape May Minnie’s Breakfast at Disney’s Beach Club, or our all-time favorite Chef Mickey at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, there are character meals that bring magic to your table, no theme park required.

This episode is all about embracing the magic of Walt Disney World Resort outside the theme parks and showing you how you can enjoy a relaxing yet adventure-filled getaway with your family. From delicious meals to resort activities, there are countless ways to experience the enchantment without ever setting foot in a theme park. • 085: Disney vs. Epic Universe: Can Universal Studios Finally Compete?
    Mar 20 2025

    Send us a text

In this episode of Well Hello Magic, we’re taking a deep dive into one of the biggest game-changers in Orlando theme parks—Universal’s Epic Universe. This brand-new park is set to reshape how families plan their Florida vacations, and we’re here to break down every detail.

Will Epic Universe finally shift the balance of power in Orlando, or will Walt Disney World remain the reigning champion of family entertainment? With cutting-edge technology, immersive new lands, and an expansion unlike anything Universal has done before, we explore how this park stacks up against Disney’s offerings.

We’ll take you through each new attraction at Epic Universe, from Super Nintendo World to the How to Train Your Dragon land, and discuss whether Universal has finally designed a park that caters to all ages—including toddlers and younger kids. For years, Universal has been known as the thrill-seeker’s destination, but has this new addition changed that perception?

Another big question: Is Universal Studios still a quick add-on to a Disney World trip, or has it become a vacation destination in its own right? We’ll discuss whether a split-stay between Disney and Universal is the best approach or if Universal has finally reached the level where families can dedicate an entire trip to its resorts and parks.

And what does this mean for Disney? With Universal aggressively expanding, is Disney feeling the pressure to innovate faster, or will its legacy and loyal fan base keep it ahead? We’ll analyze the competition, speculate on Disney’s response, and discuss whether Universal could truly rival Disney’s dominance in Orlando.

All that and more in this episode of Well Hello Magic! If you love theme park strategy, insider tips, and deep dives into the biggest industry trends, this is an episode you won’t want to miss.

🎧 Tune in now and let’s talk theme parks!

  • 084: Our Epic 4-Day Disney Trip with Kris from Happily Ever Park Hoppers
    Mar 4 2025

    Send us a text

Get ready for a magical episode as I welcome my friend Kris from Happily Ever Park Hoppers to the podcast! We’re both Disney moms—I have four kids, and she has two teenagers—so this trip was a rare opportunity for us to experience Disney without our families. We’re also both military wives, which gives us a unique perspective on Disney travel and how we make the most of military discounts and benefits.

Even though we share a love for Disney, our experiences growing up were different—Kris was raised going to Disneyland, while I grew up going to Walt Disney World. So, this trip was a perfect blend of our perspectives as we explored the parks together!

We stayed at SpringHill Suites, Dolphin Resort and Coronado Springs, giving us a chance to compare two very different resort experiences. Our trip was packed with excitement, from witnessing the Super Bowl Parade featuring MVP Jalen Hurts in Magic Kingdom to immersing ourselves in EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts, one of Disney’s most visually stunning events of the year. Of course, no trip would be complete without a ride on our all-time favorite attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind!

We also had an unforgettable dinner at Rose & Crown, securing a front-row view of Luminous: The Symphony of Us, EPCOT’s breathtaking nighttime spectacular. Throughout the trip, we explored Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Magic Kingdom, hitting up shows and rides we often miss when traveling with our families.

But that’s not all—this episode includes exciting updates on our latest ventures! I share details about my 2026 Walt Disney World retreat, and Kris talks about her brand-new journey as a Disney travel agent.

If you love Disney trip planning, park strategies, and behind-the-scenes insights into Disney content creation, you won’t want to miss this episode! You can also watch the full video version on YouTube at Well Hello Magic, where we share footage and photos from our trip.
