Kellin Suede is a black non-binary content creator from San Diego, California. Their alternative clothing shop, Kayelle Suede, is all about breaking the rules to stand out. While it began as a merch store for Kellin’s youtube channel, Kayelle Suede has now branched out into something much bigger, offering makeup, jewelry, and art. Kellin has also had the opportunity to do big collaborations, including his most recent one: The Revolution Collection featuring Kellin Quinn, lead singer of the American rock band, Sleeping With Sirens. The future for Kayelle Suede will be full of inclusivity, individualism, and love. Kellin’s overall goal for their brand is to reach those who feel alone and bring them to a safe space as the Suede family.

Interview with Amber Byrd

Amber Byrd is a graduate from Mercer University. She was a collegiate athlete there and played softball on a D1 level as a pitcher. Byrd founded AB Glitz in high school in 2016, selling makeup and products that went along with that category. In college to make a little bit of money she started doing hair and in the process, a new product called Braid Aid came to life.

The Braid Aid is a Parting tool that offers precision and decreases the amount of time you spend styling hair. The product launches today, September 13!

Suicide Prevention Month

Before Covid-19, nearly 1 in 5 U.S. adults experienced mental illness and suicide was the second leading cause of death among people between the ages of 10 and 34, according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The pandemic—which has left many feeling depressed, anxious, or hopeless—has only worsened the already pressing problem.

Beauty industry veteran April Peck is no stranger to some of the mental health issues facing people today. After tragically losing her sister to suicide, she has since made it her mission to advocate for suicide prevention, to ensure that others don’t suffer her sister’s same fate. In fact, it’s why she launched Save Me From, her damage-specific haircare line that not only saves hair, but saves lives, by donating to charity organizations that are working to end suicide.
