OUR FIRST NHL AFFILIATED INTERVIEW! Vegas Golden Knights Prospect and North Dakota University Fighting Hawks Defenseman Abram Wiebe joins the podcast for our best interview yet by far. He delves into growing up and developing in Mission, BC, and the love he has for his community and Mission Minor Hockey, before explaining how he ended up playing for the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds and eventually the BCHL's Chilliwack Chiefs. After a strong first 2 seasons in Chilliwack, Abram committed to the University of North Dakota and was selected in the 7th Round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft by Vegas. He was then named captain of Chilliwack for his final year and was over a point per game as a defenseman. He was also named to the BCHL First All-Star team and BCHL Defenseman of the Year. After a solid first year of D1 Hockey, Abram took off this season and was one of North Dakota's 3 Hobey Baker Nominees. Abram's humble character and joyful personality are second to none, and it makes this interview even better, capping it off with some crazy and funny stories at the end.
