Acerca de esta escucha
It looked like Aaron Nola’s early-season struggles were been behind him.
After starting the season 0-5 with a 6.45 ERA, he had a 3.33 ERA in his last four starts. But in Game 2 of a doubleheader against St. Louis on Wednesday night, Nola suffered the worst start of his career. He allowed a career-high 12 hits, a career-high nine runs and tied a career-high three home runs allowed in a 14-7 loss. How concerned should we be about Nola? Why did Rob Thomson have Nola start the fourth inning after he allowed five runs in the third?
The Phillies won Game 1, 2-1, behind two excellent performances from right-handers Jordan Romano and Orion Kerkering. We talk about Romano, Kerkering and Kyle Schwarber’s 47-game on-base streak coming to an end.
