Acerca de esta escucha
This week on the podcast, Hallie and Katie recap their Mother's Day weekend. Katie is happy to report that her girls were surprisingly easy and well-behaved at brunch. She also opens up about Emma's 9-month doctor's visit and has some words of encouragement and solidarity for any mama who is feeling anxiety over their little ones hitting their milestones.
Meanwhile, Hallie is playing a little game called, "Do I have long COVID or am I just a tired mom?" The mom-of-two jokes that her memory is so bad these days that she actually had to check her calendar app to fact-check the year (she was convinced it was 2026). Katie admits she's experiencing the same brain fog, and the ladies wonder if their moms felt this way when they were in the thick of raising littles, or if the invention of the smartphone is to blame for our short attention spans and forgetfulness.
Hallie and Katie also weigh in on a new parenting trend that's going viral on social media: Type C Parenting. The term was coined by TikTok creator Ashleigh Surratt and plays off the familiar Type A and Type B personalities. Type A is highly organized, structured, and punctual. Type B tends to be more relaxed, spontaneous, and flexible. Type C parents? They're a mashup of both. The ladies reveal their Type C moments and admit that while they are historically Type A personalities, they like the freedom that Type C parenting permits.
