Sunday message from 6 April 2025 on John 8:42-59
In this sermon, you will hear a powerful truth: when Jesus reveals who He truly is—God Himself, saying, “Before Abraham was born, I am”—He doesn’t just challenge the people of His day; He challenges you. You’ll be encouraged to consider how God's truth exposes our divided hearts, our resistance, and our desire to be in control. And yet, even in the face of rejection, Jesus does not withdraw His love. He goes to the cross for you, dies for your sin, and rises again to give you eternal life. Grace isn't earned—it’s given. In your baptism, God has claimed you as His own, washing away your sin and clothing you in Christ. Instead of hiding from the truth, you can rest in it. Jesus knows your heart fully, and still, He forgives fully. Through His Word and promises, you’ll learn to trust in His unconditional love and find peace in His promise: life with Him that never ends.
