    Jul 3 2025
On this week’s episode of True Crime New England, Katie and Liz travel over 230 years back in time to the 1780s in New London, Connecticut, to tell the unfortunate story of 12-year-old Hannah Occuish, the youngest person in the United States to ever be executed. Young Hannah had not had an easy life, so when a local 6-year-old girl was found brutally beaten, Hannah was a prime suspect. She eventually confessed to the murder and in December of 1786, she was hung. But the question still remains… did the Native-American girl actually kill the wealthy farmer’s daughter?

    Jun 26 2025
This week on True Crime New England, Katie and Liz bring you the tragic story of a mother and son who were found dead in a fiery car crash just 500 feet from their home in Thornton, New Hampshire. Janet Dow and her son Stephen were found burnt beyond recognition on a December 1982 morning, and with the story that husband and stepfather Richard Dow gave, police believed the whole thing was just an extremely tragic accident. As a result, no investigation was performed, and the bodies were cremated with no autopsies. It wasn’t until 1993 when an ex-girlfriend of Richard’s came forward to local police and told a whole new story that would show the car accident was really no accident at all.
